Laboratory

Laboratory.

The laboratory is modern, well equipped and staffed with a veterinary surgeon having postgraduate training in veterinary microbiology and a technician with wide experience in animal and human clinical laboratories. Specialties are biochemistry, haematology and microbiology. We also have good links with laboratories specialising in other fields such as virology and histopathology.
The main purpose of the laboratory is to aid the vets in their diagnosis and treatment. However, clients are welcome to submit samples such as routine worm egg counts and fitness blood tests for horses in training. In these circumstances, a copy of the results is given to the client and also to their usual vet who should be a point of contact where further advice is needed.
